The hugely anticipated Dengeki Bunko Fighting Climax launched its first trailer today:
The 4-buttoned 2D fighter is set to feature fighters from Dengeko Bunko franchises, such as Sword Art Online, Shakugan no Shana, Oreimo and Dengeki Daioh’s A Certain Scientific Railgun and will be pitting them against currently unannounced Sega fighters.
This footage screams Guilty Gear mechanics to me, whom also have a Sega -fighter in the making. Top that with the awesome air and beam dynamics seen in the trailer, and the fact Sega recently acquired Atlus, and I can’t help but hope that this may be a launching pad for the next Persona title…(could the Persona Fighters be some of the unannounced Sega fighters?)
Dengeki Bunko Fighting Climax is going to feature a 4-button, Weak/Medium/Strong/Support layout that will feature a barrage of different awe-inspiring specials. From your basic support attacks, to EX moves, Impact Skills, “Blast”attacks and their own patented awakening attack called a “Potential”, this game promises to be more complex and creative than your average 4-buttoned fighter. No mention of what platforms it’ll be coming to yet other than “consoles”.
More challengers in this awesome crossover are scheduled to be announced during Japanese locations tests around October 11-13.
