This is just in from the New York Comic Con SF 25th anniversary panel,: Ono san has announced a new Darkstalkers game.

The game is called Darkstalkers Resurrection and IT IS NOT a new game. It is collection of Darkstalkers 1 and 3 for PSN and Xbox Live. False alarm i guess. I hope there is more to this, because i am sure that this quite the letdown for fans. source: Gamingeverything

Below are some of the features of this re-release
- the game is being produced by Capcom’s Dereck Neil
- HD filtering options
- GGPO netcode
- Ingame achievements (a la Street Fighter III OE)
- upgraded matchmaking with additional options such as region matching, ping lock and ping display.
