Super Street Fighter IV appears to be a launch title for the upcoming 3DS portable console. The title was announced in E3 with few details. Today, however, we bring you a list of facts about the title that might make me purcahse the next nintendo console:

- The game will have all the 35 characters from the ps3 and xbox 360 version

- The game is dubbed Super Street Fighter IV 3d edition

- The gameplay will be identical to the current ssf4

- The ultra moves will use the 3D technology of the handheld

- The bottom screen of the handheld might be used for something new

- The 3DS version will bring original features not available in the current version (new alt costumes were mentioned)

The official website of the game has been launhced today and contains new screenshots from the game:

Greedy McNasty | July 30, 2010 at 12:55 pm

Yeah!

I am not feeling the handheld thing anymore. I want this game as much as I want a poop flavored taco.

Raquel | July 30, 2010 at 3:53 pm

I prefer PC version with extras.

Grifo | July 30, 2010 at 4:35 pm

Looks damn ugly to me. I agree with Raquel, we should be getting a PC version instead of this.

The time and money used on making this game and the Iphone game is going to make Capcom a lot of money. They are both 2 platforms that Capcom wants in on.

There are more Iphones and DS handhelds than all the home consoles combined. I know this is a marketing strat, hey if it makes more money for the company to make add on’s to SSF4, or leads to a PC version.

I am all for it. Whore that game out! Make it for every system. If you can make the game for iphone and the DS then we all know you can make the game for Wii and PC.

Hm….well what do you know…..Silver Surfer…..never liked that guy

Andre Dee | August 4, 2010 at 1:17 am

neither have i. From what I’ve read that means Galactus can’t be that far behind. So basically, every main character from the F4 (friend and foe) but no F4. It was said, F4 will be seen in certain endings of MvC3 characters.

Matt | August 4, 2010 at 2:42 am

….Meh well there’s always DLC or Marvel Vs Capcom 4……I mean….it’s not like there isn’t gonna be a 4

Has the “Hype Train” crashed or somthing? We had SF mania at Comicon, then the feed went dead!

No fault to the Amazing Hadoken, but I’ve been looking at a 3DS post for days! No new speculation on the blank character slots? No new interviews with thoughts/feelings from Namco on how the Tekken crew looks in SSF4 style? Nothing new on the long awaited SF3 online?

And the hype on MvsC3 has been at a low. It’s the title I’m least excited about anyway. That’s just because I like the technical/strategical sf engine better the the “Party esq” system on the vs series.

I’m like a gossip Crackhead! And I’m due for my fix!!

may strugler is doing something is busy and can’t update.

JiCi | August 9, 2010 at 10:53 am

Woah, that looks impressive. It will probably be less jagged when played on the actual device, but it looks good, not to mention that we have yet to see the 3D effects.

I really have high hopes for the 3DS, mainly for the improved graphics, which might be what have kept developpers away from the regular DS or DSi. Furthermore, the 3DS will make extensive use of Wi-Fi connection, meaning that the multiplayer will be often used. While the PSP can have multiplayer, most of them only use ad-hoc sessions… which is really awkward because the PSP can use Wi-Fi for non-local multiplayer. Sure, it’s nice to have SFA 3 Max Double Upper, but if you’re on the East Coast, you can’t play against your friends on the West Coast… unless you have Ad-Hoc Party and a PS3…

This is something that might be interesting to now: if the game gonna be just a port of SSFIV, or an enhanced version ? Seeing that the arcade version is supposed to get more characters, is Capcom gonna them to the 3DS version as well ?
