Rumor: Alex and Rolento to join the SSF4 cast!

A wild rumor is running on the interwebs regarding the future of Super Street Fighter IV. The said rumor suggests that the arcade version of Super Street Fighter IV will features extra characters like Alex and rolento. these fighters will then be added to the console version via DLC.
To add more fuel to the rumor the Super Street Fighter IV facebook page had these 2 posters posted today:
We do not know wether the SSF4 facebook page is an official one or not, but we do expect to get a confirmation of this rumor later in the day directly from the Street Fighter Panel happening ins san diego today at 12pm PDT.

I used Rolento like crazy in Alpha 3. Alex was also one of my favorites in SF3 Third Strike.

These are in no way any kind of confirmation. These images are made entirely of old art assets and aren’t done in SF4 ink style.. why would capcom announce anything over facebook? The SF community is really losing its mind over these rumors/teases if they turn all this junk fan art into news stories. kind of embarrassing.

No one said these are “Offical” images from the “Press Release” you dolts! We all know it’s old artwork, and more specificly from BossLogic’s sticks.

The article says “Rumor” and shows the pics as reference as to who the characters are! No one said these are “offical screens”!!!!!

If this rumour turns out to be true, i’ll be one happy player, as these we on my wishlist. Alex, Rolento, R.Mika and Charlie were the 4 that i didn’t get on Super.

the connection between people speculating wether the artwork is official or not is because as the article says they were posted on the ssf4 facebook fan page and again as the article says he is not sure whether the page is official, hence people saying this artwork isn’t official, to confirm his suspicions.

The Artwork is obviously not offical, it has been around for months. Plus it’s a composite of Art that has been around since 3rd strike.
And why I care? I guess I was just annoyed.

As someone already mentioned, those peices of artwork look like some BossLogic photoshop creations. As for the Facebook Super Street Fighter IV page, I’m pretty sure it’s not official and is what they call “community pages” where anything that anyone says about the subject is posted to the page. With that said, I think the chances of Rolento and Alex reveals are high though Elena has got to be up there also. Guess we will have to wait and see.

very cool. I loved to see alex in another street fighter. I want elena and mika because they got potential to add to the ssf4 universe storyline.

Ono just announced that his old announcement, will be announced at Tokyo Game Show! Imagine that! He is such a tease.
Looks like we won’t know who the hidden characters will be for a LONG, LONG time. This is where you build hype or lose your fan base.

I am seriously hoping for both of these characters — but honestly, I am hoping for Elena more than anyone else in the SF universe. She has a style all her own both in her actual character, and fighting style. Alex and Rolento are both great additions though as well, I’m just really really hoping that we get more characters than just 2.
With them also announcing SFIII Online I can’t imagine them leaving out the game hero (Alex) or the only other female character (Elena).
