I guess this roster is not completely genuine, in the firework stage, you can see a Tron Bonne’s cameo in the background. So I don’t think that she will be a playable character in the game.

Chunli and ryu are in the background of the “new York” stage and they are in the game, yea chunli is in how can you doubt her sillouette. You people realize that capcom made more than street fighter games, if you only get 17 spots why would you flood it with street fighter characters, they have ryu chun and alums because they are different styles of play and are easy to pick up, I like the rosters… But I think it might be off because it was said that fantastic four characters were not included due to issues. But why the hate on she hulk? She isn’t like hulk, not mindless rage, but rather controlled strength, she will probably be faster and maybe pick up a small chunk of rock and toss it almost like Cody from street fighter, and maybe she will dash at you and punch you slighty stunning you and maybe another move is a dash punch like falcon punch. Just saying that a character will suck before seeing or them having been ever even been in a game before is stupid, wait till you play them or at best see them before you say anything. such strong blind opinions on something so new is assanine.

If this is true, I’m glad to see Shuma-Gorath returning. Don’t have a problem with any of the Capcom characters, except perhaps Chuck (two characters who play like Frank?). Also, is Spencer Super Joe? I heard that he is but I haven’t played the new Bionic Commando. For the Marvel side, I’m just glad that half of it isn’t X-Men like MvC2 was, although I’m surprised that not even Cyclops or Storm are in.

I too heard that the Fantastic 4 wasn’t going to be in it, but not because of any issues. I remember hearing or reading an interview and one of the questions was “who’s NOT going to be in it” which was a really good one to ask since both marval and capcom universes are so big.

It sounds like the Ironman/warmachine Frank west/Chuck are going to be just like Yun and Yang when they first showed up. Same character spot and moves, just a different look. Doesn’t take longer than creating a model because the moves are already shared.

X-23 and She Hulk are <3!!! I’m excited about those two! The only other character I’d like to see would be Venom with a Carnage alt. Common capcom, get rid of Mister Fantastic and put in Venom with a Carnage alt! I never really liked Mr. Fantastic anyway.

In the background there is just posters of Chun Li and Ryu, but in the case of Bone, that’s the entire character.

I was going to stick to SSF4, but, Mike “Macho” Haggar!!!!! You just sold a copy!

I’m happy with the above roster, can’t wait to see what Emma can do! Hopefully Storm will make the roster as well.

Hmmm… I’m not sur of it because of 2 things:

1- Niitsuma said that he couldn’t use the licenses of any of the Fantastic Four, so Mr. Fantastic is pretty much out.

2- Tron Bonne can be seen in a stage… so she can’t be a playable character.

I assume that the final version will change from the E3 demo, and that they might have changed the stages and got additional licenses, but right now, it doesn’t look credible so much.

peopele saying tron bonne is not a playable character, because she can be seen in a stage is full of sh*t. If you look closer at the daily bugle stage, you can see that mr. peter parker, is in the background too. IMO i don’t like this leaked list but, i expect to see most of all returning characters from mvc2 and additional characters through dlc.

You should also note that in SFIV, Balrog showed up in the background of the Africa Airplane stage. If you chose Balrog, it would be Vega back there. If you were playing Balrog and Vega, it would be Sagat. So with that, just because a character is in the BG doesn’t mean they’re not playable.

I sort of hope this list is correct, sort of hope it’s not. But for the most part, it seems alright to me. Amaterasu (Okami) is a weird choice, but one that might be interesting because of all the weapons she used. Viewtiful Joe is just so out of character compared to everyone else. His super deformed style is fine when in the context of other superdeformed characters but next to regular people he looks like a bobble head. I’ve got more gripes but meh, I’m happy as a whole.

Why aren’t there any characters from Rival Schools in this game?!! I doubt this roster is legit… C’mon Capcom, I want Batsu or Akira in it!!

This roster is fake how I know this is because Ryota Niitsuma has said there will be no Fantasic Four characters this list was cooked up by somebody just trying to get in on the hype.

even if Akuma is a shoto clone, i can see the reason why ken wouldn’t be in it and he would be since Akuma has a more unque style, and there is also the fact Ken moves are pretty much the same as Ryu’s, maybe for the exception of the specials and weaker hadoukens and more powerful shoryukens.

No denying it. Every time this has happened, it’s turned out true-and I don’t mean the SSF4 rumor list-I mean website leaks like this. It turned out true for TVC:UAS, it’ll be the same case here.

Disappointed a certain defense attorney still won’t make the cut that he missed last time, but can’t wait to see Akuma in action.

While that list is mostly fake , there is a lil bit I’d like to point out.

X-23 is the only one of the new X-Men who is as popular as the classic ones. She’s also the only one of the new characters created after Marvel vs Capcom 2 to get an ONGOING. And to top it all she’s already acquainted with Wolvie’s friends, Spider-Man and Steve Rogers leading them all.

Also, if you read comics you’d realize her fighting style is far different than Logan’s. In DnD terms, if Logan is a Berserker, Laura is a Swashbuckler. (And if you want to go there, she’s as almost as good as him, to the point that she overpowered him the first time they fought)
While she’s not more popular as the examples you listed, she’s as popular as them, new character and all.
More over, if Capcom managed to implement Gouken and Yatterman-2 in their games succesfully (Despite being, technically, a Ryu and Yatterman clone respectively), there’s no reason to say the same treatment will not be seen here. After all, Laura Kinney is both a NEW and a POPULAR character.
Try reading more about the character before judging and dismissing them. Who knows. Maybe you’ll end up liking a few new characters.

Well I think the Fantastic 4 thing makes the list seem bogus. Theres also the fact that Seth mentioned Storm at E3, that made it seem like she’d be in it too.

A lot of the characters don’t seem to make sense, I think Marvel would be focusing more on characters that are involved with their current popular franchises.

Also, Capcom is hard to judge but it just seems like kind of a fan list. We’ll see eventually.

They want to try to please as many people as they can so I would think that they would go with people who are popular to both comic fans and iconic figures. I know X-23 is popular but i cant see her in a game with no storm , the leader of x-men and first black female comic book character ever. It’s all good Dan. For what it’s worth, I think both will make the cut. Both representeing a classic and new fan favorite, pleasing both comic fans and the mainstream pals. God knows this game needs more Marvel Women power. They got the short end of the stick in Marvel 2. Big Time.

If you want to know, this would be my ideal Marvel roster, assuming that we’ll see 42 characters in total, after a minor adjustment to the character selection screen.

Wolverine, Iron Man, Hulk, Deadpool, Captain America, Spider-Man, Dr. Doom, Kl’rt, Thor, Ms. Marvel, Cyclops, Storm, Psylocke, X-23, Magneto, Dr. Strange, Songbird, Iron Fist, Luke Cage, Nova, Valkyrie.

11 Avengers, 6 X-Men, 2 Thunderbolts, 2 Cosmics and 3 miscelaneous. And Dormammu will be the unplayable final boss. Should be good enough I think.

If the char selection screen made more adjustments, I could see them adding Thanos, Nico Minoru and Pixie or Magik. As one is a cosmic who will definately try to undermine Dormammu’s plans, the other wields the Staff of One, which is said to be powerful enough to make Dormammu tremble, and the last ones as the wielders of both the Soulsword and/or the Souldagger, known to be harmful to magic.

lol i know it’s sad but of course they can’t include the whole mvc2 roster, and of course Marvel and Capcom are gonna try to push their recent/upcoming successes. Still I’m kindof surprised this guy guessed right about Thor and Amaterasu. I’m really hoping for comebacks by: Cyclops, Cable, T.bonne, BBHood, Anakaris, Amingo, Charlie, Captn. Commando, Dhalsim, Alex, Cammy. If I get just 5 of these guys i’d be honestly satisfied. Maybe an added Darkstalker charac (Jon Talbain?) since they’res been speculations on a third game.

i’ve seen it written that a few gamers wish for a different boss than dormammu. dormammu is perfect. capcom can do many things with his abilities, and as far as toughness goes, just head over to marvel and check his power grid. nuf said.

It was said that Silver Surfer would be playable from the marvel side, so this list is most likely fake. I think for the most part both marvel & capcom want to put characters who’ve never been apart of the series into this one. I’m personally looking forward to seeing Silver Surfer in action!!

This list is fake son. You know how many people would be extremely disappointed if this was the final roster? It would be a massive “WTF” around the world! I’m not sure how many characters will make the final cut but I am sure that that list is not very accurate. Also interesting note, I heard c-viper might be in the game according to rumors on iplaywinner.com but it’s not for sure. I do know one thing, the developers are definitely looking to add NEW characters that haven’t yet graced the MvC universe yet so expect to see some new faces that weren’t in the previous MvC games of yore.
