Hello everyone!
At the Tohoku Qualifiers, it all came down to the Chiba Team vs the Kanagawa Team. It was a battle of desire and regrets, but in the end Mago pulled it out and everyone got really into it! And when they let me say some words in closing, everyone was really welcoming to me, so I was very happy. Thank you very much!

Well then, on Tuesday we announced the sale date, the special features as well as the Collectors Package. We got a lot of comments, such as “The sale date is too far away!”, “Why only for Xbox 360?” and “Sell the soundtrack!”, so thank you very much! I think I would like to address some of these issues in another Q&A post sometime soon.

On Tuesday’s post, I mentioned that there would be bonuses for ordering through e-Capcom…and it seems that you can already make your pre-orders!
While the details haven’t quite been decided, we’re also getting ahead of ourselves! Both myself and Lil’ Ono have been making various suggestions, such as a special DVD, or a command/combo sheet, as bonuses for pre-ordering. We’re hoping for something that the players really want or will feel that is useful. I think its going to be something good, so you’d better get your pre-order in now.

ssf4anime

I had the chance to talk to Seth Killian about the recently announced SSF4 Juri anime and i was able to ask him a couple of questions about the movie as well as the potential of a street Fighter Anime TV series. Check out what killian had to say:

Strugler: could you elaborate on what shizowa said, is this a juri movie? or is it a ssf4 anime movie? Shizowa san said the movie is exclusive to xbox360 is this true or is it just a mistranslation?

Seth Killian: Not sure what the difference btw “Juri movie” and “SSFIV movie” is, exactly, but I would say it’s an SSFIV movie that focuses on Juri, as she is the main character focus of SSFIV. As for exclusivity, Shiozawa’s statements refer only to the Japanese territory.  No decisions have been made for other regions.

Strugler: What are the chances of a street fighter anime tv series ?

Seth Killianan anime TV series isn’t strictly up to Capcom–we don’t produce tv series, we just license our characters to other groups who produce them.  I’m certain if there were a good opportunity with the right group, Capcom would consider it.

Check out the european box art for Super Street Fighter IV:

Europe box art for Super Street Fighter 4

As you can see it is almost the same as the Japanese one except that instead of featuring Cammy it features Adon.

Now the US boxart is officially the worst of the bunch!

First the release date was announced then the exclusive xbox 360 Juri anime and now the box art for the US verison and Japanese verison of the game, behold:

Us Version:

Japanese Version:

My opinion? The japanese version is way cooler. The us verison of the box art looks like a 30 min photoshop job to me. ah well!

UPDATE: You can let your voice heard over at the official capcom unity board where a bunch of people are asking capcom to change the US box art to be the same as the Japanese one. Go here to add your support

Hello everyone!
I reeeeeally want to write about the Tohoku qualifiers! But as today is a special update, I’ve got something different to talk about!

Today, it also seems that Capcom is announcing a new title for the Xbox 360! To go along with that, I’ve also got some SSFIV news as well. Big news!

First, the sale date has finally been decided!

On sale April 28 (Tuesday) 2010!
The price is 4,990 yen!
What a steal!
(For Xbox 360 and Playstation 3)

Also, the Super Classic Pack of 3rd alternate costumes for Guile, Blanka, Dhalsim, Gen, and Fei Long will be immediately available for free download!
(But, if you don’t get it soon, from 7/1 you’ll have to buy it.)

Super Classic Pack

^This is what you’ll be getting! Fei-Long is just too cool. And I personally like Dhalsim’s Indian look.

But wait, there’s more!
As special content exclusive to the Xbox 360, we’re including a new anime that focuses on Juri! (Only available in Japan) This anime comes from Director Kizaki of “Afro Samurai” fame, and the well-known Japanese animation studio GONZO! Which means, its incredibly high-quality.

Hello everyone! Thank you to everyone who in the comments for the last blog were concerned about my health.

Well then, today there are a few things I’d like to share with you!

First is the character page on the official site! For the newcomers in Super Street Fighter 4 like T.Hawk and Guy, but also for the returning Street Fighter 4 cast as well, for 21 of them under the “Characters” page we have movies up of their Ultra I and Ultra II!

Personally, I like Balrog’s “Dirty Bull”, Cody’s “Last Dread Dust”, and Ken’s “Crimson Hurricane Kick”! Within the Capcom offices, Rufus’s “Big Bam Typhoon” is a big hit!

We’ll keep the updates rolling out, so keep an eye out for them.

The second issue of the day is the page exclusively for the National Tournament! There you’ll find the results for the 1st Kanto Qualifier that took place at Taito Station Takadanobaba last Saturday! As there are 9 qualifiers in total, to try and post about them on this blog… yeah… so that’s why the Results Page will be updated every Tuesday with new results!
