Shizowa san is at it again! In her last blog post the sf4 producer hinted again that the second itteration of SFiv is in the works. below is a description and partial translation of shizowa san post according to Fallenangel from SRK:

In today’s blog post. Shiowaza san hints AGAIN and AGAIN at the possibility of a SF4 sequel. I think they already decided and we’re gonna see it in less than a year (arcade jap version at least).

She says that today she has nothing to write about, not because she has no more news or material to talk about, but because she can’t talk about it AT THIS TIME.

She writes that SF4 producer Ono will be appearing in Tougeki in a video message to the community. Shiowaza says that she has “no idea” what the message is about but seeing him preparing it makes her feel that it’s something “out of the ordinary” and that “something’s being planned”. She then recommends everyone to not miss Tougeki.

Just to be clear: no they didn’t confirm anything, but the way it’s being suggested again and again, I think it’s clear that they will announce a sequel sooner than later. Maybe it’s just an update to the arcade version, who knows.

Edit: Shiowaza also mentioned that soon she’ll be revealing “new information” about the PC version. I hope it’s nothing crappy like more filters.

SBO, also knows as tougeki, will be held in Japan this summer. I guess this is another reason (besides the great level of comepetion) to look forward to the event.

Over the official SF4 Dev Blog, Shizowa san answered a bunch of fans questions about Street Fighter IV. Some of the question were really interesting and so were shizowa’s answers to them.

The Questions and answers are of course in Japanese but luckily Azrael, an SRK active user, translated the whole thing. Check out his translation:
Q: During the replay, it would be nice to be able to zoom in or move around the camera angle freely.
A: That’s a good idea. The characters are really expressionistic this time around, so we’d like to be able to give you the ability to create your very own cut! We’ll look into it!

Q: This has been on our minds for quite some time, but didn’t Gouken have a daughter?
A: Well…that hasn’t been publicly released so I can’t really talk about it. But, if he did have a daughter, it seems like she’d be as strong as Ryu, Ken, and Akuma. With that bloodline, she’d probably be able to throw a one-handed hadouken at the age of 12.
(Az’s Note: This question is in reference to SF storylines. In the “canon” (don’t think this ever appeared in any game) Gouken supposedly had a daughter called Little Miss, who witnessed Gouken’s “death” together with Ken. This is just stuff from info books. Shiozawa sounds like she’s just speculating here, although its not out of the question that the character could be in development. I would say take it with a grain of salt.)

These are of course Japan only, and you will need to order a set of 9 figures if you want them shipped to you. The set of 9 figures will cost you around 57 dollars which is not bad.

The 6th issue of the Street fighter 2 Turbo comics hit the stands last week. This issue will really please old final fight fans as it is not only full of ff cameos but also includes a Final fight bonus story

story: The story in Metro city, where the US sf2 qualifiers are going to be held. we are first introduced to Cody (whom his love for fighting never fails to cause him imprisonment) is about to break free from jail after learning of the SF tournament, eventually the street brawler succeeds and joins the rest of the fighters into the us qualifiers arena.

The story moves to Japan, where last issue ended. Honda and Zangief are teaming against the ninjas of the Geki clan, who are unfortunately portrayed as very week shinobis, which lead both Zangief and Honda to easily qualify for the SF tournament.
A fun short Fight between fan favorites Dana and Sakura also takes place in Japan, where Sakura is trying to find her way to the sf2 tournament to show Ryu that she has improved since the last time they met. The story ends with the US qualifiers about to start in one of the weirdest ways ever possible!

The issue also includes a really cool backup story of Final Fight’s mike Haggar where we learn bout the popularity of the character and how smiliar he is to Arnold shwazenegger.
