A brilliant Idea from Adam Woz, a fellow SRK member: He put together a blog specifically to show and announce ragequitters!  If you are not familiar with the word rage quitter, it is someone who quit the online match when he knows he is loosing to you. I hate QUITTERS!!! why can’t they take a loss like a man???

Anyway, the blog not only shows usernames of the quitters but also pictures to prove their shame!
Check out the blog here
Ragequitters your quitting days are numbered!!!

At the Game developer Conference that took place last week, Ono san did a presentation where he explained the process behind making Street Fighter IV and how challenging it was to live to fans expectation. Gamespot has the full scoop.

From the article: “ Beyond the looks, the developers also strove to keep everything else about the characters the same, from their personalities to the way they speak. And while the game did make the leap to 3D visuals, Ono kept the gameplay 2D, right down to the invisible hit boxes used to determine when a strike has landed. While the game is fully 3D and could run at 60 frames a second, the developers intentionally “skipped” animation frames to make sure the game looked right to players of the old 2D Street Fighters as well.

Over at the Capcom Unity boards, Seth Killian explained why it is sometimes hard to connect to an online match by detailing how the SF4 online match making work:

Seth: “Just a note: difficulties with joining a match are based on the volume of people playing. When the servers are super busy, it can sometimes be trickier to find a match (this is a bit ironic, but makes sense when you think about it):

From the time a match is posted on the searchable list, you hit the button to join it, and then the signal goes back “I am joining,” the match is often already full from someone else doing the same thing. Since it has to match you up with another individual, rather than a larger group of individuals, and “join in progress” is obviously not relevant, the window is fairly tight. With hundreds of thousands of people all scrambling to jump through the same windows, it can be tough sometimes to successfully jump through that window.

As mentioned, creating your own match, setting search parameters in custom, and most definitely turning on “Fight Request” can be helps in maximizing your time.

Over at the official SF4 Dev blog, game producer Shizowa san answered a bunch of questions asked by the fans. The interview is of course in japanese but luckily Azrael from SRK Forums translated most of the interview. Check it out:

Q: Have you been thinking about any fixes for the home version characters?
A: Ah yes, the patch. In the same way we fixed things when going from the arcade version to the home version, we will be performing little tweaks to fix the odd parts.
When the title update is released, for everyone who goes online this patch will download automatically.

(Az’s Note: The question only asks about the console characters, but the person answering doesn’t specify if she’s only talking about the console chars or the whole game. She also says “the same way we made changes from the arcade version”…did they make changes?)

Q: We heard that DeeJay and T-Hawk were planned for the game but didn’t make it. We’d like to see them put in.
A: Yeah huh. They were already plenty developed…!
It’d be nice if we could do something to not let that go to waste, but…!!

(Az’s Note: That sounds like a “no”.)
