Madcatz revealed using their twitter account, that Ono san has approved their latest, soon to be released, TE fightstick design featuring the strongest woman on earth: Chun-li. No further details have been given except for a photo of the stick itself held by Ono san

This new image surfaced today on the interwebs! allegedly, this photo is from a trailer or promo of the rumored Capcom X Namco crossover:

All the hints were suggesting a tekken vs Street Fighter game, wether it was that old leak from a supposed inisder, or the latest video (see above) showing Ono san and Harada san (Tekken producer) on stage (check video above). Now some new details have surfaced through game informer, according to the magazine’s website, the game that Ono will announce this saturday is a new crossover title, or should i say TWO crossover titles?

The first title is Capcom vs Namco, a fighting game using the SF4 engine, putting the franchises heros against each other, and the second game is none other than ……….Namco vs Capcom, produced by Harada san and Namco using the Tekken 6 engine. The two games will be released next year at the same time with 2 completely different playstyle (supposedly one 2,5D and the other 3D).

When asked about the project, Ono san denied the info in his twitter account saying things lik “I wish I could see that title just once. ” “ It would almost take a miracle to achieve it!!“and “I‘ll call Harada-san as Namco to determine if a make can be arranged. ”  Read more...

During his brief appearance in last night’s Evo 2k10 finals, Ono san said that he is working on a new fighting game that will be released in about a year from now. Ono san added that he cannot reveal what will the game be but revealed that a formal announcement will be made within 2 weeks (just in time for Comic con?).

Ono then went ahead and said that street Fighter IV won’t stop here and added that he cannot reveal anything further.

Ono san also apparently stated that the new game is not Capcom vs SNK 3 nor a new darkstalkers. What i find suspicious however, is that Tekken producer, Katsuhiro Harada, was on stage when Ono san was giving his speech. Could the game be the rumored Street Fighter vs Tekken title ? Only time will tell

UPDATE: In his twitter account, when asked about giving Akume/gouki an australian flag outfit (since the japanese kanji used for gouki’s name is the same one used for the word “australia”), Ono san had this ti say: “ I’ll choose kangaroo for Australian. :)” and to hose unfamiliar with the Tekken series, the game features a kangaroo character named roger….yep!  Read more...

What a week-end!!! The EVO 2k10 concluded last night after being the biggest EVO tournament ever, with more than 3000 players , toping last year’s stellar performance. Although the tournament hosted competitions in many fighting games, the Super Street Fighter IV section was the most hype and most popular. A lot of people like me were expecting another Daigo vs Justing wong final, however we were all surprised at the elimination of wong in the semi finals, leading to a Daigo vs ricky Ortiz final match with Daigo “the beast” Umehara taking the champion’s spot. We will upload videos of the best matches when they become available, in the mean time check out the final results of the Evo tournament competition:
