If, like me, you have been dying to watch the gonzo produced Street Fighter anime that came outwith the japanese xbox 360 version of SSF4, then this is your chance. Some generous user has uploaded the whole 35min long anime to the interwebs. The movie is in Japanese with no subtitles, but with its great quality it is such an eye candy that every street fighter and anime fan will enjoy.

Enjoy, and lets hope capcom will relase it in a blu-ray with the aftermath sf4 videos.

Hi Guys,

We are still looking for someone who has (or can borrow) a capturing device and who also happen to have an asia xbox live account so i can e-mail him the juri anime code to download the movie and then upload it online.

The anime is apparently 35 minutes long and not as we originally though 16min. Any help towards this is very appreciated!

The SSF4 Juri anime movie project

After watching the SSF4 juri anime movie trailer, and the clip i posted earlier in the day. and after seeing that we might never get this awesome short film outside of Japan, idecided to take things into my own hands. How so? you ask: I have in my position a promo code to download the Juri anime movie from a Japanese xbox live account. So what we need is to assemble a team for world warriors, that will create the SF anime team. Here are the requirements of the people we need:

1- Someone with access to the Japanese xbox live market so i can give him the code to download the anime. This person must also have a capture device so he can capture (preferably in HD) the Juri short anime movie.

2- Someone who speaks Japanese and is ready to translate the whole movie from start to end (the anime is about 16mn long)

3- someone who will add the subtitles to the movie and match the timing of the movie.

The movie will then be shown free on www.hadoken.net

Korean website, ruliweb, has hi-res screenshots of the SSF4 menu (in Korean) and gameplay, as well as a first look ever into Juri’s anime prologue, which does look really high quality and similar to the excellent Juri Anime movie trailer we saw before (i particularely was afraid that it turns out like SF4 where the tie in anime movie and promo vids had good quality but the actual prologues and endings looked like saturday morning cartoons)

I had the chance to talk to Seth Killian about the recently announced SSF4 Juri anime and i was able to ask him a couple of questions about the movie as well as the potential of a street Fighter Anime TV series. Check out what killian had to say:

Strugler: could you elaborate on what shizowa said, is this a juri movie? or is it a ssf4 anime movie? Shizowa san said the movie is exclusive to xbox360 is this true or is it just a mistranslation?

Seth Killian: Not sure what the difference btw “Juri movie” and “SSFIV movie” is, exactly, but I would say it’s an SSFIV movie that focuses on Juri, as she is the main character focus of SSFIV. As for exclusivity, Shiozawa’s statements refer only to the Japanese territory.  No decisions have been made for other regions.

Strugler: What are the chances of a street fighter anime tv series ?

Seth Killian: an anime TV series isn’t strictly up to Capcom–we don’t produce tv series, we just license our characters to other groups who produce them.  I’m certain if there were a good opportunity with the right group, Capcom would consider it.  Read more...

The Famitsu website has been updated with a bunch of screenshots showing every special move of Fei Long and Dan as well as some screens of the SFIV anime which will be released with the game. And let me tell you they look too fraking AWESOME!

As for the anime, well, i can’t wait for it as i am a huge sf anime fan, i still watch the street fighter animated movie to this day  it is also worth mentioning that it has been confirmed that the anime will run for 60 min.
