SF X Tekken Vita released to abysmal sales

The Vita version of Street Fighter X Tekken was released last week in Japan (in this week in NA). and as expected from many fighting games fans, the game has been having a terrible first week. In fact the Vita version of Sf X Tekken only sold 5400 copies during its first week in the land of the rising sun.

While it can be argued that the PS vita is still not doing too well worldwide, a 5k sales number is still too low even for the Vita. Many factors have led to such poor results, mainly the lukewarm reception the home console version have received, the entire , controversial, GEM system; just to name a few.

What do you of such depressing news? Let us know in the comments section.

SF X Tekken Blog: NYCC announcement *Translated by Gregaman*

::Dev blog time. Lots of details on the newly-announced SFxT title update. Read on!

Greetings everyone! Tomoaki Ayano here.

Only two more weeks until the PS Vita version of Street Fighter X Tekken hits the streets! It’s getting colder and colder here in Japan; everyone make sure to start bundling up to keep warm! I wouldn’t want anyone to catch a cold—especially with the PS Vita version release so close!

Now then, for today’s blog I wanted to talk about all of the announcements that we had at NY Comic Con.

Alternate Costumes Release Date Confirmed!

Tuesday, October 30 is when the Alternate Costumes go online!

Cross-Link
Thanks to the Internet, we were able to squeeze in a last minute update for the PS Vita version of SFXTK that allows you to use the PS Vita system as a controller for the PS3 version of SFXTK! We call it Cross-Link.

By using the PS Vita as a controller, you can use the touch panel with the PS3 version. If you have the game on both systems, I highly recommend you give it a shot!

Breaking News: Street Fighter X Tekken banned from EVO 2k13

EVO 2013 removes Street Fighter X Tekken

In an unexpected turn of event, Mr wizard, main organizer of the world famous EVO tournament, announced via shoryuken.com, that Street Fighter X tekken will not be featured in next year’s tournament.

Street Fighter X Tekken was featured in this year’s EVO, but only as a 2vs2 tournament and with the gems being banned.

This definitely has a negative impact on the, already, dying fanbase of the the game. Since before its release Street fighter x tekken was the center of many complaints and controversies, from its Gem system to DLC content, as well as the gameplay system itself.

What do you think of this shocking news?
