10 things we want to see in the upcoming second Season of Mortal Kombat Legacy

The Mortal Kombat Legacy series is getting a second season! While the first series had its share of criticism, it was still the best Mortal Kombat interpretation on the small screen. with a second season to focus on the actual first tournament, we provide you a list of 10 things that would definitely make the second season a great hit among the fans. Let’s get to it:

10- More special moves and more over the top fighting:

Let’s get one thing straight, Mortal Kombat is about fighters, ninjas, cyborgs and 4 armed demons fighting in a mystical tournament where souls can be consumed like chicken pot pies. so grounding this whole world into modern realism and down to earth “real” fighting might not be well appreciated by the fans. I am not saying that all actors should be wired and flying from one corner of the set to the other, like a dragon ball z movie, far from it. What i am saying is that the fight choreographers should not limit themselves to real fighting and should try to respect the game more than realism.

9- Continuity with the Movie:

ComingSoon interviews Kevin Tancharoen: New movie will not be a continuation of the Legacy series

Talking to Comingsoon.net, Director Kevin Tancharoen confirmed that the upcoming Mortal KombatMovie will not be a continuation of the successful web series MK: Legacy.

CS: Is this something that’s going to continue elements of the web series?
Tancharoen:
No, this is a new take and it’s not going to continue directly off of the web series. There will be elements that are familiar to the people that have watched it, but it is its own movie. I wanted to make sure that, regardless of anything else, that it’s a good movie. It doesn’t have to be something that you will have had to have seen all ten episodes previously to understand or have played the videogame to understand. It’ll live on its own and be its own film and will hopefully be something that can continue on. It’s such a big story that you could have two or three movies, but I want to make sure that the first one is good on its own.

While he cannot confirm the characters that will appear nor if the MK legacy actors will reprise their roles in the movie, Kevin did, however, promised that we will see many of our favorite characters in the 2013 movie.
