The year long 25th anniversary street Fighter tournament is at an end. This Saturday will the worldwide elites battling for the title of grand champion. The event will also be the place where Ono san will, apparently, have some special announcements. Below is the trailer for the Grand finals:
The tournament will see the likes of Daigo Umehara, Mago, Momochi and more. For a full list of the brackets for each of the games present in the event , head over to the official SF 25th Anniversary Website.

The 25th Anniversary Street Fighter Tournaments finals will go down on December 8th in San Francisco. Capcom has released the official schedule of the event, that clearly states a surprise announcement about a game that will be playable at the event. To celebrate the 25th birthday of the Street Fighter franchise, Capcom has just announced a Japan-Only National tournament that will sure be a treat to watch. Below are details of the event, courtesy of Beast Note:
Summary:
- GODSGARDEN will manage this, Nico Nico will stream it, TOPANGA will give some help - There will be a pay-per-view stream (TBA) - 3 titles – SFxTK, SF4AE2012, SF3 3rd Strike - Apply now until August 20 - Must live in Japan - NO DETAILS ABOUT PRIZES
Qualifiers:
- September 29-30 and October 6-7 - 20:00 to 23:00 (3 hours a day) - All online matches - 128 players will be reduced to 8* for the finals - *For SF4AE2012, one player will come from The 2nd TOPANGA League A (special invitation)
Finals:
- October 20 (Saturday) - Double elimination - 8 players each titles will compete - It will be held somewhere in Tokyo area.
EVO 2k12 is officially underway. Gamers from all around the world will compete in great titles such as Super street Fighter IV, Mortal Kombat, MVC3 and others.
