Super Street Fighter IV appears to be a launch title for the upcoming 3DS portable console. The title was announced in E3 with few details. Today, however, we bring you a list of facts about the title that might make me purcahse the next nintendo console:

- The game will have all the 35 characters from the ps3 and xbox 360 version

- The game is dubbed Super Street Fighter IV 3d edition

- The gameplay will be identical to the current ssf4

- The ultra moves will use the 3D technology of the handheld

- The bottom screen of the handheld might be used for something new

- The 3DS version will bring original features not available in the current version (new alt costumes were mentioned)

The folks at famitsu.com sat with yoshinori Ono, after the announcement of the Street Fighter X Tekken game last saturday,  to discuss this new game. Ono san went ahead and talked about the gameplay, characters and release date. Andriasang.com were cool enough to translate the whole interview which you can read here.

These are the highlights from the interview:

- The game will come out in TWO years

- Gameplay will be like SF4 with 6 buttons but with a possible assist command for a 2 vs 2 mode.

- Characters will probably be from the first generation of each franchise.

This just got announced seconds ago!!! Street Fighter vs Tekken is indeed real and a trailer was just shown at the SDCC Sf panel! We will be  uploading the trailer as soon as it becomes available.

The trailer shows dan smashed against a wall and Ryu and Kazuya Mishima fighting each other in an ink style trailer. Street Fighter X Tekken will be coming to PS3 and Xbox 360 next year.

Ono then surprised everyone by showing a demo of the game. The game plays like SF4, which mean strictly 2d gameplay with 3d models.

UPDATE: this is just in!!! Harada san, tekken producer, announced that another game titled Tekken X street fighter (namco style) is also in developpement

the Street Fighter panel is underway as i type this, and Ono san has just announced that a new set of alt costumes will soon find its way to the psn and xbox live. Ono then proceeded and showed some of the alt costumes. We will post the pictures as soon as they become available.

Ono san has just announced that cpacom is working on a psn/ xbox live edition of Street Fighter III dubbed Street Fighter III 3rd strike Online edition. No release date has been given, but Ono san added that it will not be released in the immediate future

A wild rumor is running on the interwebs regarding the future of Super Street Fighter IV. The said rumor suggests that the arcade version of Super Street Fighter IV will features extra characters like Alex and rolento. these fighters will then be added to the console version via DLC.

To add more fuel to the rumor the Super Street Fighter IV facebook page had these 2 posters posted today:

We do not know wether the SSF4 facebook page is an official one or not, but we do expect to get a confirmation of this rumor later in the day directly from the Street Fighter Panel happening ins san diego today at 12pm PDT.

ComicCon 2010 is underway, and Capcom is having a huge presence in this year’s event, by having a dedicated Street Fighter panel scheduled for tomorrow, in which, Ono san will apparently speak about the future of the Street Fighter series.

According to his recent tweets, Ono san will aalso nnounce a brand new game, and some new surprises.

This is what Ono san said through his twitter account:  ” I’ve been hearing of many rumours brewing up this week.Having said that, I have been tweeting to say I will announce something new. I don’t know if this ’something’ is what the rumour says or what you had in mind. I’m only sure of one thing.
