SRK’s moderator and pwner mr wizard was able to play the final build of SSF4 and he was kind enough to compile a list of the character changes he noticed. Keep in mind whil i trust Mr wizard’s SF knowledge, it is still very early to classify or notice all the changes. Remember that it tooks SF4 months to find out who is really good and who sux( i am looking at you claw!)

Mr Wizard:

Ryu - Ryu’s medium and hard dragon punches hit twice now. Damage is down on it, but if you FADC, you only get one hit from it, so damage is down even farther. Trades to ultra from DP are gone, and most trades into ultra from SF4 are gone, but not all. Puts you in a floaty state, and you cant combo afterwards.

Ken - He is not looking good. They didnt give him much. He cannot FADC to Ultra2 normally. He didnt get crazy kicks from previous SF games. They slightly improved his fireball.

Talking to Famitsu about Hakan, Ono san confirmed that Hakan is indeed the final SSF4 character however we should expect some new announcement in April.

From AndriaSang.com: “Ono also added, “By the way, in terms of content, it’s pretty close to V, so I personally refer to it by the code name 4.9.” Famitsu put one of those “laugh” kanji characters in this statement too, so you probably shouldn’t read too far into it.

As a final message, Ono confirmed that Hakan is indeed the final Super Street Fighter IV character. However, he promised more announcements for the game in April and May.

Of course, Super SFIV comes out on April 28, so assuming Ono actually meant to say May, he’d have to be referring to post-release announcements.

Was Ono san referring to the downloadable tournament mode alreadya nnounced? or are we getting more DLC with SSF4? Capcom’s Seth Killian already stated that Capcom got the message that fans want more stages. Could that be it? Only time will tell.

IGN.com has posted a good hand’s on preview of SSF4, where they talked about Hakan(of course) and the game in general including the online modes.

From the article: “ One thing that wasn’t on display at Capcom’s event that Ono touched on was the online component of the game. If you remember, some downloadable content was released in the months following Street Fighter IV’s launch that added a championship mode to online play, providing a more structured tournament-like framework for battles between players outside of the ranked matches. According to Ono, we may very well see something similar to this following the release of Street Fighter IV, though no timeframe or specifics were given. “We’ve already got some ideas, the gears are turning,” he said.

IGN staff also posted a bunch of SSF4 gameplay videos which you can watch below. enjoy

Gamespot has posted a gdc interview with Yoshinori Ono where he specifically talks about latest announced character Hakan. check it out:

Gamespot laso posted a hands on preview with SSFIV focusing on the oil wrestler.

From the article: “Hakan’s comedic value really shines when he performs his super and two ultras. His Flying Oil Spin super sees him running a short distance before grabbing an enemy and performing a combo, while his first ultra—the Oil Coaster—has Hakan throwing an opponent in the air before sliding them around his body at ever increasing velocity. His second ultra—the Oil Combination Hold—is bound to draw laughs the first few times you see it. With this ultra (performed by quickly tapping down three times on the stick and pressing all three kick buttons), Hakan lays flat on his back. If an opponent happens to jump onto the prone Turk, they’ll slip on his oily gut, landing face down on the ground. Hakan then jumps on top, and squeezes with an almighty effort, eventually popping out the hapless foe from between his legs and sending them shooting off across the stage. The move looks to be a purely defensive ultra, can be a little off putting, but still a lot of fun to pull off. ”

Seth Killian has announced over at the capcom unity blog that a secret SF themed event is happening at GDC in San Fransisco tonight. Here is what Seth had to say:

“ Unity is oiling up to slide downtown for a secret Street Fighter event in honor ofGDC 2010.

Although it’s going down in anundisclosed location, we’re going to try and stream out some of the action on ourustream channel starting around 6:30pm PST.

They won’t let us take direct feed of the action, but there should be some good shots of the room with a few famous Street Fighters and games-industry neer-do-wells cruising around, and I’ll try to bust a few shoryuken FADC -> Ultra on the iphone.  Plus who knows what could “slip” on there–anything can happen live...”
